I walked over for breakfast while my car was getting worked on. The servers were quick to take my order even though it was busy and the service was good. I ordered the Mediterranean Omelette and a coffee, it was simple but tasty. I sat outside and enjoyed the atmosphere. Prices are a bit higher but it was worth it to me.
Cute spot, very friendly staff. Great looking dessert case. Meant to grab the cobbler or something to take home. Next time! Had the steak breakfast burrito with chipotle sauce and potatoes. The sauce has a good amount of spice to it. Ordered extra. Very big plate and took some home. I like a lot more flavor in my food but I think this place is perfect for what most people are looking for. Clean and well prepared fresh food.
Had a great visit to Lido Cafe this weekend! The staff was so helpful and friendly — it really made the experience even better. We got some treats to-go, and the peach hand pie was absolutely amazing. Bella loved the peach cobbler too! Definitely recommend stopping by if you’re in the area.
I had a brunch here at Lido cafe this past July. Yup, it's been awhile and now I'm finalizing my draft review. The cafe in Fair Oaks gets a thumbs up from me though. It's the type of place is becoming extinct... family owned and operated, neighborhood signature vibes, simple good homemade food, and decent pricing. The hours are 7am-2pm Wednesday-Sunday. I dropped in on a late Sunday morning. The place was packed. Bustling with lots folks ranging from large generational families, solo diners, young teenagers with their friends on break to golden couples happily trudging along with their walkers. But even me and hubs could feel the sense of family ownership and welcoming neighborly vibes. Trust me, I don't get those vibes often. They had patio dining as well, but it was a bit hot for me to sit outside in July even with the shaded covering. But I'm a wimp regarding the summer heat. We sat inside. Comfortable and air conditioned. When it's a full house, it is loud and crowded. For folks with hearing aids, the tables along the walls are the best bet. I ordered an almond milk latte. I didn't have high hopes of anything spectacular, but I was wrong. It was deliciously smooth and creamy with an airy froth and espresso flavor. Darn delicious. One of the best I've ever tasted. I also ordered a half order of eggs benedict. Luv that they offered a half order, most places don't. The hollandaise sauce was smooth and the poached egg had a satisfying perfect yolk ooze. The flavors were ok overall. Hubs ordered an egg salad sandwich that came with fresh fried tortilla chips n salsa. No complaints from him. Another cool thing about the menu is that they offer doggie meals (for your fur babies). No lie. The meals average $4.95 and come with a water bowl. Dogs are served on the patio. Also if your dog needs to do his business, there is an ample strip of lawn with shade trees near the sidewalk in front of the parking lot.
Vanilla lates were a fave among our group of ladies that went in to travel. I had the Soup of the day and Half sandwich on RYE and the bread was so flavourful and seemed made in house. Salsa also made fresh. The butternut squash soup was very tasty and my ultimate fave. They even had a puppy menu. You can even call ahead for no wait for larger parties at least 30 mins ahead.
This place is great. I would have given it five stars, but had to ding it for whoever thought it was a good idea to only add a single piece of asparagus with the Eggs Benedict.
Let's not kid ourselves. The wait is very long. Anyone that says otherwise is lying. Now, being as busy as they are . They do serve the food within a decent wait time. Half of the staff needs to smile more. Not so welcoming. The food is hot and nothing is over seasoned. The price is comparable to everywhere else. Good quality. I wish the had real fruit juice . They don't fill the plate with a bunch of carbs which is nice . Everything comes in at the same time we ordered 4 plates. I had the country fried steak, and eggs Benedict. My son had chicken and waffles which was chicken breast. He said it was great. His mom had eggs Benedict Florentine. They couldn't finish it cause they're light weights. Lol I do appreciate the fine detail. Of cooking the asparagus garnish perfectly.. They can get away with it and no one will know. But I tried it and it was cooked perfect.
